
BACKGROUND
Patrick Gallegos, the Founder and Principal of Gallegos Lighting, has been designing environments in light since 1973. Patrick has an educational background in theatre arts, literature, philosophy, and theology at the undergraduate level and a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design.
After working post academically in theatrical lighting design, Patrick began his architectural lighting career as a Senior Lighting Designer on Walt Disney’s EPCOT Center, working for Disney’s famed Walt Disney Imagineering design and master planning think tank.
Since founding Gallegos Lighting in 1983, Patrick has built an extensive portfolio of projects, focusing on using the power of light to create environments that emphasize and enhance the human experience. Patrick maintains overall design direction while allowing the talents of the designers at GL to reflect their own artistry within a tightly structured production outflow.
